Michal Stickrod’s (*1978, Columbus, Ohio) films layer footage of his relatives with homemade soundtracks, found audio, and photographed and scanned objects, creating an ever-expanding family album that paints an unsettling portrait of middle America. In 2008 he received the Altoids Award for emerging American art, juried by Paul McCarthy, Cindy Sherman and Rirkrit Tiravanija.
